Historic narrative: | |||||
Original Owner: J. R. Willard Year Built: 1848 This home is from an early period. A date-stone in the gable end reads “J.R. Willard 1848.” The limestone quoins and block foundation are rough cut. The back corner uses a mixture of limestone and sandstone quoins. Like others in the area, it used small, red lake cobblestones in neat rows. |
