Organized in 1832 as the Free Will Baptist Church, the congregation built a stone block church on Atlantic Avenue for $300.00. It had broad galleries on three sides and a steeple across from the cemetery. The building is gone.

Historic narrative: |
Organized as the Free Will Baptist Church in 1832, the congregation built a church of limestone blocks on Atlantic Avenue. The blocks were later used for other purposes. In 1876 they moved to Lincoln and built a frame church.
