Historic narrative: | |||||
Organized in 1872, the congregation rented the Baptist Church of East Newark until they bought it in 1885. It was sold in 1912 after they disbanded. The church reorganized in 1925 and bought the Universalist Church in 1926. In 1958 they sold that the building to the Chamber of Commerce (which demolished the building for a parking lot). They built a new church on Hope Avenue, taking with them a Tiffany Window from the Universalist Church. |
