Historic narrative: | |||||
Built during the Late period: 1845 - 1860 This house had a mason with creativity. Every 6th row of lake-washed cobbles is a row of white instead of the usual small, red cobbles. As in many houses, larger, multi-colored stones were used on the sides of the building. The front has sandstone quoins and lintels set on edge. The quoins on the sides are a variety of cut rocks. Narrow friezes line the side of the building.
