Historic narrative:

This stone chapel is located in the Vienna Street Cemetery. It was constructed in 1866 from a fund of $4000.00 left for that purpose by Carlton H. Rogers. The cemetery was established in 1844 on land donated by his father, General Thomas Rogers.
