There is a small chapel and mausoleum on the premises.
The Village of Newark is in the town of of Arcadia in the county of Wayne. There are two cemeteries in Newark, Newark Cemetery (on North Main Street) and East Newark Cemetery (which is at Vienna St. and East Maple Avenue). Both are owned and maintained by the Newark Department of Public Works.

Esbon Blackmar Sr. a former U.S. Congressman is buried here.
