This building was a section house on the RS&E. For track and roadway maintenance, the electric line was divided into 8 (originally 14) sections about 10 miles long. A crew of a foreman and 4 men plus 2 seasonal men for summer work were responsible for inspecting and maintaining their section. The section house was used to store their tools and hand car.
