Two listings of White Schoolhouse Cemetery were donated by the Office of the County Historian. A consolidated listing was prepared in honor of her ancestors by Marcia Benton, a descendant of the Harpers, one of the earliest pioneer families of Galen. " List #2 showed different dates than list #1 for the same people. I put the 2nd listed dates in parentheses after the 1st listed dates (i.e. Becker, Elizabeth)." Because of discrepancies in dates, the site coordinators would greatly appreciate receiving information as to correct dates from other types of family resources.
Located in the town of Galen, about two miles north of Clyde Village, at the intersection of Route 414 and Kelsey Road. This list was typed from 2 separate lists, one dated May 1956 (List #1), and one received from the Seneca County Historian, dated Dec. 1979 (List #2, data in parentheses). 2005 Driving Directions - Rte. 414 North out of Galen. Second road on right is Kelsey Rd. Cemetery is on corner of Rte. 414 and Kelsey Rd.
