The first school building was described as “an old red house that was not beautiful but useful.”. The second one on the same site was a white frame structure which still stands and used as a residence. This school was also used for Sunday church services. According to A.S. Rose, “Almost every amateur user of the birchen rod in these parts at one tome or another has here tought the ‘young idea how to shoot’”. |
