Historic narrative: | |||||
The first schoolhouse in the town of Rose was built on Lyman Road. The school was built before 1826. The children from North Rose attended here before they had their own school. The building burned down, and two framed structures followed. The fourth school was built on the same spot and the fifth built in 1879. After it was closed, this building was remodeled into a residence, occupied by the Norris family for years. |
