Organized in 1831, the congregation built a small church on the south side of the creek. In 1856 James Garfield spent some time with his friend Ed Craw and preached on Sunday at the Church of Christ (Disciples). In 1861 they built a second church at the corner of Rural St. [and Rt. 89] which burned in 1916.It was rebuilt in 1916. The current building was erected in 1994. After being offered to several other groups, the 1916 building was razed in 2013. The congregation is now the Lighthouse Community Fellowship.
