| In August 2018 high winds blew down many trees along NYS Route 31 in this area making it easier to see the path of Clinton's Ditch. If driving westward, begin watching the north side of the road as you pass the dirt road to the cottages (43.04025, -77.16319). The muddy, used-as-storage, area was the first canal. As you continue west you can watch the first canal angle toward the Barge Canal. | |||||
