Historic narrative:
Donated by Love F. Seymour in 1914 in honor of her sister Helen, the chapel was built and furnished with her generous donation.  Miss Seymour was the daughter of Catherine and Harvey Seymour.  Catherine was the daughter of Eli and Margaret Green, long-time residents of Marion.  Love would spend many happy summers in Marion and so she made many philanthropic donations to the town she loved so well.
