It was built in 1936 and used as a gathering place for events. WPA workers participated in the construction. The second floor had a stage and hardwood dance floor. On the first floor there was a kitchen and large room that was used for dinners and programs. It was owned by the Walworth Fire District After the new firehall was built in 1976 with meeting room, etc., it was no longer needed and eventually sold. At one point it was an Auction House and then a gift shop. Later it was sold to American Pool Supply.
