The farm was purchased by Samuel Caldwell from Humphrey Sherman. The cobblestone addition was built for use as a dairy cooler in the period between 1835-1840.This farm was one of the first in Marion with the arrival of Samuel Caldwell in 1797. This farm is listed as a Century Farm having been farmed by the same family for 200 years. Guernsey cattle were raised at this farm for many years. |
