Historic narrative: | |||||
This location had a passenger station, freight house, hay & grain warehouse, and water tower. It was actively used from the 1880s to the 1930s. Today it is a public park, with trails using the former roadbed of the railroad leading east and west. Clyde once had two railroad stations. The West Shore Railroad challenged the New York Central by travelling up the west shore of the Hudson River on its way to Buffalo. In Clyde it was routed along the south side of the Clyde River. |
