John Kane: Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the Union Army at Marilla, Erie County, New York. He served as a Sergeant. He was awarded the CMOH as a Corporal in Company K, 100th New York Infantry for action on April 2, 1865 at Petersburg, Virginia.
