Historic narrative: |
The Society of Friends built their first meeting house on the northeast corner of Rt. 31F and Canandaigua Rd. In 1829 the Society split and the Hicksites kept the original property. The Orthodox group moved to the southeast corner of the intersection to build their meeting house.. The Hicksite building was removed to use as a barn and later burned. The Hicksite Society closed by 1925.
